Justin and Melissa worked on projects including children and teaching the children at the community and hills of Katungu. They were also here when the "11 Together Orphanage" was established. We enjoyed our time with them and our children still miss them.

Thank you guys for having joined us!

Murray & Rachel - United StatesMarch- 2011
Murray (from New York ) and Rachel (from California) were here with us March, It was a great week of voluntary work in one of our Orphanage school in Kampala.

We were there for only a week but we left with a great impression feeling that our small time changed lives of these children as they lived with us, played with us, taught and learnt from us. We helped in our daily activities and helping with their food.

It made all the kids feel so blessed and happy. The Orphanage School houses over 450 kids and whom a number of over 50 are talented in singing, they did entertain us as saying goodbye showing how much they were happy to have us around and how much they are going to miss them. Our hearts were left behind .

It was a trip of lasting memories!, you've got to experience this too.
An experience not to miss for a lifetime, volunteering is amazing!!!
Murray & Rachel

Gemma Parker - EnglandFebruary- 2011
Gemma from England was here with us. She helped out our (Jinja) project with teaching and tutoring the children, she also helped with teaching them music.

During her time we did have a safari to Mt. Elgon National Park and Sipi Falls. It was a great time being there, following we spent most of our time identifying the needs of the community and came up with ideas on development for Lwanda and its people.
I Still miss Uganda :( , the people and children of Lwanda
I will do my best to help while here home,
Gemma

Stella Appiah - DenmarkMarch - 2011
Stella from Denmark, was here helping out with teaching in Kampala. When i told everyone i was going to Uganda, friends and family asked why i chose Uganda other than Ghana being am originally from Ghana. I told them it was only my first experience and coming to Uganda was more of a dream to me.

Sometimes when your new to something you never know how easy it is, it encourages and gives you to learn more of what other people in another world live their life like and so did Stella experienced teaching and learning how to with these children.
I'm happy i came to Uganda.
Thank you allowing me, Stella

Sarah Schroder - GermanyDecember - 2010
Sarah from Germany Was here with us. Sarah was working on a couple of child care projects around Kampala. It was a great experience look at how the lovely kids smile just seeing her around.

Caring about the tough life of these needy children makes a positive impact in the world. Many orphans arrive at the orphanages with nothing but the clothes on their back. Volunteering with Mzungu isn't just an adventure, but you will get much more-knowing you made a lasting impact in the lives of needy children, learning about other cultures, receiving the love of children you never knew before, and a feeling of accomplishing important things in your life. I was happy to be there and look forward to return someday.
Sarah

Rohan Leah Strich - CanadaNovember - 2010
I arrived back in Canada and I wanted to thank you again for taking the time to meet and work with me. I liked Jinja a lot. I was busy doing some work for a different project for a lot of my time, and so I got slightly fewer interractions with people than I had hoped, but all very interesting nonetheless.

It was a fast trip through Uganda, but I loved it very much, and I really hope to come back some day soon. Also, I wish you at Mzungu Volunteers and I'll do what I can to tell people about your organization over here. It was an interesting time meeting you guys and i hope to share more next time!
I will be in contact.
All the best, Rohan

Matthijs Vlieger - NetherlandsOctober - 2010
